Danny Harris, Sr. – Chief Executive Officer
Danny started his career in the meat industry with John Morrell & Company. After working in the manufacturing side of the business while attending Memphis State University, he was promoted to sales and remained there until 1980, when he started Empire Meat Brokerage. In 1988, Empire acquired Empire Packing Company, also known as Ledbetter Foods. Today, the company is one of the largest independent perishable food brokers in the United States. In his current role, Danny oversees all meat plant operations of the Company.

Len Marek – Chief Operating Officer
After graduating from the University of Missouri, Len began his career in the grocery business by joining The Kroger Company. After being promoted from store management, he spent the next 21 years in various merchandising positions in Perishable Departments at both Division level and Headquarter level. Len joined Empire in 1987 as a Partner, was named President of the Ohio Region in 1990 and became Chief Operating Officer in 1999. In his role, he oversees all Company operations.

Paul Towle – President
After graduating from Valdosta State University, Paul began his career in the perishable business working in sales with Oscar Mayer Foods Corporation. After 14 years at Oscar Mayer, he worked six years in sales and management for the Sara Lee Meat Group. He joined Empire in 2003 as the President of its Corporate Brand Division. In 2009, he was named President of the Company, and today leads the Company’s perishable brokerage operations for Meat, Seafood, Deli-Bakery-Cheese and Produce.

Brent Beerens – President, Empire Corporate Brands
Brent has over 20 years in the perishable industry working with both retailers and suppliers. A graduate of Hope College, he worked with Sara Lee for 16 years in various roles, including managing retail teams, directing the national trade strategy and heading up a key national account team. He joined Empire in 2009 and oversees Empire’s Corporate Brands Division, which is responsible for the Company’s private label perishable business.
